The severe winter is coming, and the sublimation printer also needs to "survive the winter". Today I will explain to you how to maintain the sublimation printer in winter, which can save you a lot of maintenance costs!
First, please close the doors and windows to avoid haze in the indoor environment. In addition, you need to pay attention to the daily maintenance of the equipment, wipe the equipment every day to avoid dust accumulation. After the equipment is finished working, you can cover the equipment with a dust-free cloth to reduce the intrusion of dust. Finally, pay attention to the cleaning of accessories.
01 Printhead
The print head is the core component of the printing machine. You must be extra careful during daily cleaning and maintenance. Regularly check whether there is any debris accumulation on the print head mirror and the surrounding area and clean them. You can move the carriage to the cleaning position and use a cotton swab dipped in cleaning fluid to clean the ink residue around the print head to avoid affecting the cleaning effect.
02 Guide rails
After starting the printer every day, let the carriage run back and forth several times. The dirt inside the guide rail slider will remain on the guide rail. Repeat several times, and then wipe the stains with a paper towel or cotton swab dipped in a small amount of alcohol. In addition, it is recommended to use lubricating oil to maintain the guide rails once every two weeks. Use a cotton swab dipped in a little lubricating oil to wipe the guide rails to ensure that the guide rails are smooth and lubricated, and also to ensure smoothness of the next use.
Winter means low temperature first. The most obvious effect of temperature reduction on dye sublimation printing machine is that the nozzle is prone to "blockage", which leads to ink breakage, needle skipping, oblique spraying, flying ink, and weak printing. This is because the viscosity of ink increases with the decrease of temperature, and the ink droplets condense on the nozzle hole. The nozzle needs to be cleaned to solve the problem. At the same time, the temperature is low in winter, and the relative humidity will also be lower. Dry air can easily cause the sublimation printer to print with warped edges and rub paper, which may cause damage to the nozzle and motor in severe cases. Pay special attention to the temperature and humidity values in the operation room. The temperature range suitable for sublimation printers is 18℃-30℃, and the humidity range is between 35%-65%. At the same time, in winter, do not place the sublimation printer in an outdoor environment. If the temperature in the sublimation printer operation room is low, air conditioning can be used appropriately for heating and humidification. Pay attention to prevent electrostatic interference. Be sure to connect the ground wire before the equipment works. Static electricity is easy to be generated when the equipment is running at high speed. When the static electricity is large, the equipment is easy to absorb dust and it is also easy to cause damage to key components. Therefore, the grounding problem of the sublimation printing machine must be taken seriously.
