Everyone knows the heat transfer printer, and it is very common in office advertising and other industries. Ink is the main consumable needed by the photo machine. Today, I will introduce the water-based ink and the eco solvent ink of the heat transfer printer.
There are two types of water-based ink for heat transfer printer, dye inks and pigment inks.
Dye Ink: This is a molecular-grade fully-dissolved ink, a completely composite solution, with a small chance of clogging the printhead, the ink itself is easily absorbed by the material, the color is bright, and the cost is low. However, this type of ink is not waterproof and will decompose quickly under the irradiation of ultraviolet rays, so this type of ink will be better for indoor advertising.
Pigment ink: This is a suspension solution, contrary to the principle of dye ink penetrating materials. It is mainly attached to the surface of the material, can be waterproof, will not be decomposed by ultraviolet radiation, and can be stored outdoors for a long time. However, the disadvantage is that the color is not bright and there is no gloss, but the ink price is 2-4 times that of the dye ink, so this ink is better for outdoor advertising.
Eco solvent ink, also known as environmentally friendly solvent ink, has four characteristics of high safety, low volatility, low to slight toxicity, and high flash point. It is a new type of outdoor solvent ink.
Features:
(1) smooth use, small change in viscosity with temperature, continuous output for a long time, stable printing performance, good adhesion, fast drying;
(2) It has good color brightness and color saturation, excellent color expression, beautiful and rich colors, and realistic effects;
(3) The pigments used in inks have a lightfastness level of 7 to 8 and therefore have better lightfastness;
(4) The ink has good water resistance, scratch resistance and abrasion resistance on the printing medium, and it is not easy to fade;
(5) Imported raw materials, good dispersion stability, low degree of corrosion to the printhead, and effectively extend the life of the printhead.
(6) Outdoor performance is durable, can resist the influence of UV light and prevent color fading;
(7) Does not contain benzene, toluene, xylene, cyclohexanone and other toxic solvents, low odor, no pollution, no harm to the body;
(8) Strong compatibility, suitable for a variety of print media.
