How to properly maintain sublimation printers

The Five Most Common Sublimation Problems and Solutions

The printer does not work appropriately.

This can be caused by the power supply or connection cable.

We need to do:

1. Check that the power cord is not wrapped around the outlet and confirm that the outlet is working appropriately.
2. Check that the connection between the printer and the computer is firm.
3. If these measures do not solve the problem, check whether the printer needs to replace the power supply.

Poor print quality.

This problem may be due to a dirty or aged printhead.

The solution is:

1. Cleaning the print head is the easiest way to fix this problem.
2. If the print head is already aged, it needs to be replaced.

Sublimation paper stuck.

This is usually caused by incorrect installation of the print head or incorrect sublimation paper.

The advice to you is:

1. Check whether the print head is installed correctly and reinstall it.
2. It is also important to use the correct sublimation paper because the thickness, size, and smoothness of the sublimation paper will affect the normal work of the printer.

Printing is slow.

This is usually a problem with the computer or operating system.

Tips:

Please check whether the computer's performance meets the printer's requirements and update the operating system.

The printer is not identified correctly.

This may be due to a driver problem or configuration error.

Suggestions:

1. Make sure the printer driver is properly installed and updated.
2. You need to check that the sublimation printer configuration matches the computer configuration.

Sublimation Printer Daily Maintenance

Please follow the following daily maintenance steps to ensure the normal operation of the digital printing machine:
1. Printer Encoder strip: Check the encoder strip for dust stains, you can wipe it with a white cloth dipped in alcohol.
2. Sublimation Printer Filters: Check regularly for clogs and clean or replace filters as needed.
3. Ink Station Cap: The ink station cap is in direct contact with the nozzle and needs to be kept clean.
4. Wiper: Keep the ink pile cleaning device and wiper blade clean and intact to maintain the best scraping results.
5. Ink tank and Waste ink bottle: Clean the ink tank and waste ink bottle regularly to ensure smooth ink flow.
6. Overall voltage regulator: Each machine has a voltage regulator (3000W or higher) to protect the machine from power fluctuations.
7. Ink: There must be enough ink in the ink tank to avoid damage or blockage to the nozzle.
8. Printing platform: Keep the printing platform free of foreign objects to prevent scratches or damage to the nozzle.
9. Nozzle: You need to check regularly for accumulation of debris and clean the nozzle and its surroundings with a cotton swab and cleaning solution.
10. Ink tube: After using the machine for a long time, you must check whether the ink tube is loose.
11. Transmission part: grease the transmission part, regularly lubricate the gear meshing part, guide slide block, and ink pile lifting mechanism.
12. Power line: Check the power line and power socket for signs of aging.
13. Dryer: Check the power supply and internal light tube of the dryer regularly.
14. Environment requirements: The printer needs to be placed and operated in a dust-free environment, temperature 18 ° C to 30 ° C, humidity 35% to 65%.

Environmental Requirements

Please follow the following environmental guidelines to ensure your digital printing works in the best environment:
1. Make sure the printer's workroom is free of dust and smoke.
2. Maintain the indoor working environment with humidity between 18℃~30℃ and 35%~65%.
3. Do not place any objects on top of the machine, especially liquids.
4. Place the sublimation printer on a flat surface to ensure that the material is loaded horizontally and avoid deviation of the printed image.
5. Keep the printer away from household appliances, strong magnetic fields, and electric fields.

Summary

Sublimation printer troubleshooting is not complicated. Generally, you only need to follow the above methods to troubleshoot and solve them. During use, we recommend cleaning the print head regularly and paying attention to the printer settings and the status of the ink/ribbon to avoid the possibility of failure.
