How to choose the right digital printing solution for different fabrics?
Digital printing is gradually replacing traditional printing due to its flexibility, no plate making, and environmental protection. More and more enterprises are transitioning to digital printing. At present, digital printing has more mature printing solutions including thermal transfer printing, dispersive direct printing, coating direct printing, reactive direct printing, and acid direct printing. So how to choose a suitable digital printing solution for different fabrics? In this issue, Fedar will give you a detailed introduction:

Chemical fiber fabric
At present, the most mature on the market for chemical fiber fabrics is thermal transfer printing, which is printed on thermal transfer paper by thermal transfer/Fedar sublimation ink, and then pressed on the chemical fiber fabric by calandra, which has the advantages of bright colors and simple processes;
Another digital printing method for chemical fiber fabrics is dispersive direct spraying. Compared with thermal transfer printing, dispersing direct spraying has a better penetration effect, and the color difference between the front and back of the fabric is small.

Cotton
Cotton is the most widely used clothing fabric. Currently, the main printing schemes are pigment printing and reactive printing. Both have advantages and disadvantages. It is mainly based on user evaluation standards and positioning to determine which scheme is suitable for them.
Coating direct printing has a simple process, but the color and color fastness are worse than that of active direct printing. Although the active direct printing has better color and color fastness, the process is complex and requires pre- and post-treatment and high process control requirements. There are people who choose these two printing methods on the market, each with its own characteristics. The one that suits you is the best.

Nylon, silk, wool
Nylon, silk, and wool are more commonly used in acid direct printing. The acid dye has complete chromatography, bright color and excellent color fastness, but the process is also complicated and requires pre- and post-treatment. There are relatively few digital printing solutions for nylon, wool, and silk in the market. More and more people are paying attention to acid digital printing inks. Acid digital printing inks are also one of the most promising ink varieties in the market in recent years.
There is always a suitable digital printing solution for different fabrics to choose from. With the popularity of digital printing and the transformation and upgrading of many traditional printing and dyeing companies, the digital printing market will eventually flourish.
