The belt printer is mainly used for digital direct printing of cotton or natural animal and plant fiber cloth. The sublimation printer is mainly used for digital printing of polyester fiber fabrics. Both belong to the category of digital printing machines. Belt printer are digital direct printing, and sublimation printer are thermal transfer printing. Let’s talk about the differences between them.
1.Ink different
The sublimation printer uses sublimation ink, which has four colors: CMYK, no white, so it can only print patterns on light-colored materials, such as sportwears. For dark fabric only can use traditional silk screen. At present, digital printing cannot print on dark polyester fabric. The belt printer uses textile inks, which are generally CMYK, but it can print white. For now, the cost of printing white ink is a bit high.
2.Fabric different
The sublimation printer mainly print polyester fiber fabrics. The belt printer mainly prints cotton or animal and plant natural fiber fabrics. The belt printer can also print polyester fabrics after changing the sublimation ink,it need to pre-treatment.
3.Different printing modes
The sublimation printer print on the transfer paper first, then heat transfer the pattern fiber fabric with high temperature through calandar. The belt printer directly print on the cotton fabric, Then fix it at high temperature.
4.The structure of machine is also quite different.
The sublimation printer includes a printer and a calandar, The belt printer includes a belt printer and a tunnel furnace.
